Starts with a Dream
We started as a group of airmen just trying to start a dnd group in a part of the world where morale was lacking. That group got so big it could fill a small church. Entice the people with provocative themes and imagery something that any good storyteller does but with the aid of a mixture of care, roleplay and an open mind we discovered something: RPG games have the capacity to become therapy. This idea would become merely a thought with no real basis until Logan Russell, founder of Silken Dreams, found several studies on roleplay, symbols, imagery, game theory, even sounds, all being used in therapy. All common elements we already used in our games. Once we reviewed the testimonies of our players we knew RPG being used as a therapy was not pipe dream, it was the future.

Meet the Founders

Logan Russell
Founder
Hey, my name is Logan Russell and I am the founder of Silken Dreams; however, I also am the author of both Silken Dreams and Lore of Lughnasadh. I have a background in creative writing, music composition, DMing, game design, and military operations. I intended to be at least proficient in everything creative, so I researched psychology and therapy in all its applications. My goal has always been to help people be themselves, so being blessed enough to have a growing team of people in these fields and more that can take our ideas or give their own and multiply their effectiveness in their own ways is the best thing to ever happen to me.

Joel Vasquez
Co-founder
Hi I am Joel Vasquez co-founder and monster artist here at Silken dreams. I served in the military for over 5 years, and have been creating stories and characters for twice as long. As a veteran dungeon master I was always looking for new ways to better engage with my players more and give them something life changing to take into their daily lives. Helping develop these books has accomplished this in ways I could not possibly imagine. That's what I am here to do- Make and transform RPGs that change people’s perception of what is possible for their lives in ways they could not possibly imagine, till they do of course. I am passionate about our mission here at silken dreams. I hope you will be too.
